Low Cost Multi-Purpose Encoder 

Rotary Incremental Encoder: Shaft Type SM23   Data Technology's SM23 is a low cost, high performance multi-purpose encoder. Along with precision surface mount technology, the SM23 also includes VMOS and CMOS circuitry which gives the encoder superior isolation between the output leads and the internal circuitry of the encoder.

The SM23 utilizes a monolithic solar array with stop gap diffusion which provides further noise immunity. The differential array tracks evenly under temperature, voltage and light source variations. This multi-purpose encoder is now available with differential line output as a standard. The available options for the SM23 vary to meet each individuals special needs and requirements.
